Find cheap
holiday car hire deals
Book your car as soon as you have booked your flights and
accommodation as even the most popular cars can sell out. If you
arrive without a rental car pre-booked there may not be a car
for you at all.

Remember that rates booked in the UK are
almost always cheaper than local rates so why not pre-book?
Shopping around
It is important to shop around to get the best deal
and search the internet for fellow travellers comments on the
company you would like to use. The fares are cheaper if you’re
travelling in a group, or if you pre-book online.
The best deals are in the
UK
Most deals available in the UK will include
insurance and local taxes. Some may also include free extra
drivers and/or a 'no excess' benefit. Some companies permit
one-way rentals, ideal for two-centre holidays.
Car class
People-carriers are very popular but when all
of the seats are used there is not much luggage space, neither
do most rental companies provide roof racks. Another option,
consider that two smaller cars are often cheaper than one MPV.
Availability
Not all classes of car are available at all locations or
offices. If you want a special car, maybe a Jeep, convertible or
people-carrier for instance, check with the rental
company/agent/broker where it may be available before booking
flights or other travel.
Holiday car hire offices
Most major airports offer an 18 or 24 hours service, seven days
a week. Some secondary airports may offer an 'out of hours'
service for flights arriving after normal closing time, however, most rental offices work to
normal office hours only and this includes ferry ports.
