General information: This is a large 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with about 120m2 living space, which borders Avenida del Pino, the main street of Pinar de Campoverde. Outside is a small front garden with 2 large palm trees and parking space. The area beside the house is walled for privacy. There is a 7m x 4m oval pool with tiled surround. The pool has an electronic salt purification system instead of chlorine, so it is much kinder to your skin. There is a large built in BBQ with table and chairs for dining by the pool. No pets and no smoking in the house please.

Lounge: The living area is open plan with the kitchen divided from the large dining area by a breakfast bar. There are steps down to the lounge area, which has an L shaped leather sofa, open fireplace, English satellite TV and DVD / video. Upstairs is a bright sunny room, where we usually take lunch, which opens onto the solarium. There is a table with 4 chairs inside and folding sun-chairs for the solarium, which is south facing, sheltered and completely private, with views of the surrounding area.

Kitchen: A new kitchen was installed in 2006 with granite worktops, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and equipped with everything you need to feel at home. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses, saucepans etc. At the back of the house is a utility area with second refrigerator/freezer, washing machine, storage area and a spiral staircase leading to the first floor. (The spiral stairs could be dangerous for small children).

Bedroom(s): Downstairs are 2 good size bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a single bed plus a comfortable fold-away chair/ bed. There is a large wardrobe with drawers under, plus a chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 has single bed, wardrobe with drawers and chair. The master bedroom upstairs is very large (16m2), with twin beds, wardrobe storage unit and bedside nightstands. It opens onto a small balcony where you can sit and enjoy the evening sun and watch the sunsets.

Bathroom(s): The ground floor has a full bathroom with shower over the bath. The upstairs bathroom is spacious, fully tiled, with a shower over the bath and and plenty of storage space. Water is heated on demand by a separate gas boiler, so a hot shower is always available.

Pinar de Campoverde Villa location information

Pinar de Campoverde is an established Spanish village set on a wooded hillside, 8 kms inland with views to the Mediterranean. It is less crowded than the more developed areas towards Torrevieja, with mainly large detached homes and year-round residents, many of who are British or German. There is new urbanisation around the village, which has encouraged new shops and restaurants. A new international standard golf course is due to open very soon, between Pinar de Campoverde and Pilar de la Horadada. The centre of Campoverde is a short walk and has several bars, restaurants, supermarket, bank etc. There is a small street market on Sunday mornings. On the other side of the village is the famous Natural Area “Rio Seca” where you can walk along the (usually dry!) bed of the river, which has carved a spectacular gorge. Near Rio Seca there is also a 20,000m2 sports area with 4 tennis courts, basketball, football and a large public swimming pool. Also a pleasant bar where you can recover after exercise! The nearest town is Pilar de la Horadada, where you can join the new A-37 Alicante-Cartegena Autoroute or access the beaches of the Mediterranean. There are about 4kms of sandy beaches stretching from El Mojon to Mil Palmeras, including a small, pretty cove at Torre de la Horadada where there is also a Marina. This is a 15 minute drive from the house. Access. 20 minutes drive from Murcia (San Javier) Airport, or less than 1 hour from Alicante. It is worth arranging a hire car for your stay.
