Sydney is without a doubt one of the top tourist destinations in Australia and is thus among the most visited places there. The city itself is a very huge metropolis that is diverse by nature and there are many cultures and ethnic populations living here.

If you are a tourist to Sydney and looking for a break in the city you should consider spending the best part of your time in the center of the city as well as the eastern beaches that are ideal for a holiday.
With plenty of beaches to choose from, you will take delight in the sandy yellow beaches constantly having waves rolling in and kissing the shores. Surfing is fun and worth trying if you know how to surf and you would find Bondi very popular as it also have many bars, shops and cafes.
If you are looking for ideal surfing and a good swim then you would do well to try Maroubra and you can also take the Manly ferry or walk through the beaches that have many restaurants for refreshments.
To the south you will find Cronulla beach that is also quite a pleasure for taking walks. You also won’t get enough of the wonderful shopping opportunities and with favorable exchange rates if you are English or American, you get more value for your currency. A particular favorite is Victoria building and there are also a number of shops in the Central CBD.
You could also take the monorail to Darling Harbor and if you want to travel the inner city then a rail circle hopper ticket is what you should choose and a visit to China town is also well worth trying out as it lies just south of CBD. Then you also won’t want to miss the Sydney Opera House and also the Sydney harbour bridge where you can go to “the Rocks” and find out what old Sydney looked like.
