Kalkan is a small, tranquil fishing town, located on the, Turquoise Coast of Turkey, in recent years it has developed into a thriving little holiday spot. An enthralling location to rent a villa, for an idyllic couple of weeks, away from it all.

This town is some what more sophisticated than many other coastal resorts along this stretch of the Mediterranean, there is a lot of culture and there is a more refined style of holiday making to be found here.

There are so many places in Spain that are household names in Britian. Places like, Benidorm, Torremolinos, Fuengirola or Alicante. But there are a host of other, smaller, less well known towns, which in their own way, are every bit as interesting.

Miami Playa is one of the finest locations of the Costa Dorada, it is just 130 km south of Barcelona. The town has a long stretch of beach and a stunning golden, blue flag, beach in a small semicircular bay.

There is a varied selection of accommodation available in Spain and the Spanish islands. Large numbers of holiday villas and holiday apartments are available in all styles and price ranges. The massive construction boom along the coastal regions of Spain started in earnest in the sixties and reached its height in the mid nineties.

This produced a huge number and variety of apartments along the beachfront, as time passed and land became scarcer the building moved further and further back from the beach. In this century most apartments and villas are built several kilometres inland.

The little island of Antigua, is truly a slice of paradise, located close to its sister island Barbuda; they are often referred to as if they are one place, but that is not the case. Located in the Lesser Antilles islands, Antigua is quite different from its neighbour, while still being just this side heaven. Slightly less wild, and quieter, than its neighbour Barbuda.

However, it offers equally stunning scenery, not only on land, but also below the sea. The blinding white beaches are hot and palm tree lined, making them an excellent location for tanning or other idle beach pursuits.

Mauritius is a sun kissed, desert island, famed for its palm tree lined, snow white sand beaches. The island lays 2000kms south east of Africa; Madagascar is just to the west. This small country, only 65km long and 45km wide, and has over 330kms of splendid coastline.

English, and French, are spoken by nearly all of the islands inhabitants. The climate is idyllic, along the coast. the average temperature is 22C during the winter, up to 33C in the summer months.

Located half way down the Mediterranean coast of Spain, the region of Valencia overlooks the wide expanse of the Gulf of Valencia. It has a relatively narrow strip of coastal plain then low mountains divide it from a large flat Plato.

The city, also named Valencia, is an ancient, historic city with many fine museums such as the Valencian museum of Modern Art, and the National Ceramics Museum. They are lots of sightseeing opportunities, including the 200 steps up the Miguelete Tower of the Cathedral, or the gardens at the Old Turia Riverbed.

Murcia is one of great contrasts; it has the mass tourism of the Costa Blanca, with resorts well known to visitors such as Alicante. It has historic towns and villages including the capital of the region Murcia city.

Renting holiday villas and apartments in Spain
Mar Menor is unusual in that it is actually an inland sea, almost cut off from the Mediterranean by a long thin strip of land; this salt water lagoon is always popular with locals and tourists. Cartagena is a large historic costal city with many attractions, including the Cathedral and the adjoining, Castillo de la Concepcion with its commanding view across the city.
