A visit to Golden Sands that is a 4 km long beach and also the largest on the coast of Northern Black Sea is highly recommended when visiting Varna and you only need to travel 19 km to its east. Here you can do a number of different activities including water skiing, Para-skiing, wind surfing, snorkeling, playing tennis and volleyball as well as mini-golf and croquet.

Varna has an excellent night life though there is much to do during the day as well. A visit to Varna Cathedral that was built around the years 1884 and 1886 is second only to St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral that is situated in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Sofia is a very interesting place to travel to simply because a lot of different tourist destinations within Europe or anywhere else in the world for that matter are very small places. Not so with Sofia!

The population of Sofia is around 1.3 million people and the population of the Sofia Metropolitan Area is around 1.4 million people so you can actually place Sofia in the top 15 cities within the European Union by size and therefore you can see that it is a very metropolitan place to travel to.

Lovech is also known for its many historic places, charming natural vistas, parks, and other entertainment facilities. If you are looking for an extended summer vacation in the European countryside, Lovech could very well fit the bill.
