If one visits the north of the Bahamas one will find a most pleasant number of islands named the Abaco Islands that include the Great Abaco as well as the Little Abaco along with some smaller islands including Wood Cay, Green Turtle Cay, Lubbers Quarters Cay, and Gorda Cay.

Needless to say, these parts of the Bahamas are ideal for sailing and are thus are great tourist hot spots with the capital being Marsh Harbour. Apart from Marsh Harbour there is also Treasure Cay that is a main tourist destination that offers the best of golf courses and is also rated as having among the world’s top ten best beaches.

Most people are in Bahamas for its beaches and palm trees, but if you want some real sailing fun, then head to the sailing capital of Bahamas- Abacos. You can see a lot of beaches here and there are a number of ferry and boats trips you can enjoy all day long.

One of the busiest places in Abaco is the Marsh Harbour where a number of restaurants would cater your gastronomic needs. Other place that you should definitely check out is the Elbow Cay Island where you would find the enchanting Hope Town. You would experience an enjoyable sight of calm waters, vineyards and lighthouses.
